QUIZZES - 30%
There will be quizzes provided throughout the semester. You will be required to watch a video lecture and complete a short quiz. You will also be read the assignment reference material each week and take a quiz. The lecture quizzes require you to watch the video and respond to specific questions. The reference material (or chapter quizzes) requires you to achieve an “80.” If you fail to achieve an 80, then you will be able to retake the quiz—but there may be different questions. So, you must read the material and then take the quiz. The quiz attempts are averaged (if you receive a 20 on your first attempt and an 80 on your second, then you score for that grade over the material will be a 50). The point is for you to read and comprehend the material prior to the “application” learning assessments.
There will be no make-ups for these quizzes. You are expected to complete them by the prior to any class session or engaging in any other online activities.

WRITTEN PAPER-15%
The written project will incorporate the concepts of this course. The specific topic will be agreed upon by the two of us. This will be discussed in detail early in the semester. You will be graded on formatting, organization, mechanics (grammar, spelling, and punctuation), quality of your analysis, and accuracy of your information.
The details for the assignment will be provided in class. This must also be uploaded into blackboard. All papers will be checked through SafeAssign. Late papers will not be accepted!!
Assignment Requirements:
1. There is not a minimum page length. However, you must thoroughly discuss the topic and include all aspects of the assignment.
2. You must use one-inch margins, Times New Roman with 12 pt font.
3. Double space.
4. Number your pages at the top right of each page.
5. Use APA format.
6. This is an academic paper; therefore you must use the library and cite peer-reviewed sources to substantiate your argument. (It stipulates sources and that indicates more than one, and more than two. You will need a minimum of 6 peer-reviewed sources. Your textbook is not a peer reviewed source.)
7. Your paper will be subject to submission through safe assign. Therefore, DO NOT PLAGIARIZE.
Generally, when writing an academic paper you will not use the same informal type language you use during your daily conversations. Informal, conversational language, will negatively impact your grade.
